Disclosed are a method for designing road surface display and a device thereof. The method for designing the road surface display comprises (a) step for deducting a deceleration inducing surface display pattern driving pattern by using virtual driving simulation for an analysis object section; (b) step for deducting driving trajectory data considering the interaction with other vehicles by using the deceleration inducing surface display pattern driving pattern; (c) step for measuring vehicle exhaust gas generation amount by applying the deceleration inducing surface display pattern driving trajectory data to vehicle exhaust gas simulation; and (d) step for. selecting an optimal deceleration inducing surface display pattern by applying a mixed weighted value according to a multi-reference decision making method with the deceleration inducing surface display pattern driving trajectory data and the vehicle exhaust gas generation amount. The present invention designs the road surface display for deceleration induction by considering traffic safety and a traffic environment in a highway exit connecting road.
