<p>The present invention relates to a USB connecting device and a method for controlling the power of the USB connecting device comprising a port unit which supplies power to a USB connector of a USB module and performs data communications; a sensing unit which is installed in the port unit and senses the insertion of the USB connector; a switching unit which supplies or blocks the power supplied to a power terminal of the port unit; and a controlling unit which controls the operation of the switching unit based on the sensing signals of the sensing unit. The present invention is provided to position the sensing unit which senses inserting the USB connector in the port unit and to check an insertion state of the USB connector, thereby supplying the power to the USB module by using the power terminal when the USB connector is normally inserted.</p> |
