In conventional wall surface construction methods and wall surface structures, construction work on the wall surface has required a great deal of effort and work efficiency has been poor. In the present invention, sideways-protruding end sections of first engagement members (2a, 2a) provided on each first-stage panel (1A1) are in contact with the back surface of a panel main body (1a) of a second-stage panel (1A21) that is laid onto the side of the first-stage panel (1A1), and the end sections support the backward-falling force of the laid second-stage panel (1A21). Moreover, downward-protruding end sections of second engagement members (3a, 3a) provided to the second-stage panel (1A21) are in contact with the back surface of a panel main body (1b) of a lower first-stage panel (1B) that has already been laid, preventing the lower edge of the second-stage panel (1A21) from jutting out toward the front surface side. Consequently, when the second-stage panel (1A21) is laid, using the first engagement members (2a, 2a) and the second engagement members (3a, 3a), the side edge is aligned with the panel main body (1b) of the lower first-stage panel (1B) and the second-stage panel is placed and held on top of the first-stage panel (1B) having a low upper edge. |
