<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to manufacture eco magnesium alloy capable of reinforcing the mechanical strength and improving the flame resistance by increasing the ignition temperature and extremely reducing the use of a protective gas such as SF_6 or the like; and manufacturing a high quality and eco-friendly casting product by quickly and effectively extracting and discharging gas contained in magnesium alloy melts. According to the present invention, the method to manufacture eco magnesium alloy comprises: a step of charging and melting pure magnesium or magnesium alloy into a crucible; a step of adding calcium to melted magnesium alloy melts for flame-retarding; a step of adding rare earth metals to the melted magnesium alloy melts for reinforcing the strength; a step of forming a casting product by spraying magnesium alloy melts, to which calcium and rare earth metals are added, into a mold; and a step of extracting and discharging gas from the magnesium alloy melts shortly before the magnesium alloy melts are sprayed into the mold.</p> |
