The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a lithium secondary battery, which uses manganese oxide containing porous lithium as a positive electrode active material and accordingly has an activation completion step in a formation step, thereby preventing harmful gas of the lithium secondary battery from being released, and a lithium secondary battery manufactured by the method. In the present invention, provided is a manufacturing method of a lithium secondary battery, which completes the step of releasing gas in the formation step by reducing a process of activating the lithium secondary battery containing manganese oxide with lithium wherein the manganese oxide with lithium is a porous structure. |
