摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# Aqueous binding agent comprises active constituents including: (a) at least one polymerizate (polymerizate-A) obtainable by radical polymerization of at least one alpha , beta -monoethylenically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acid and/or anhydride (monomer A1), and at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound (monomer A2); (b) at least one nitrogen-free polyol compound with at least two hydroxyl groups (polyol-B); and (c) at least one hydroxy group-free organic nitrogen compound and/or at least one hydroxy group free imidazole compound (nitrogen base-C). #CMT# : #/CMT# Aqueous binding agent for granular and/or fibrous substrates comprises active constituents including (a) at least one polymerizate (polymerizate-A) obtainable by radical polymerization of at least one alpha , beta -monoethylenically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acid (5-100 wt.%) and/or anhydride (monomer A1), and at least one different ethylenically unsaturated compound (monomer A2) (0-95 wt.%), which is copolymerizable with the monomers A1 containing in a polymerized form, where the amounts of monomers A1 and A2 is made up to 100 wt.%; (b) at least one nitrogen-free polyol compound with at least two hydroxyl groups (polyol-B); and (c) at least one hydroxy group-free organic nitrogen compound with at least a pK value of = 7 (measured at 25[deg] C in deionized water) and/or at least one hydroxy group free imidazole compound (nitrogen base-C). Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a molded body of a granular and/or fibrous substrate using the above aqueous binding agent, comprising applying the aqueous binding agent onto the granular and/or fibrous substrate, optionally treating the granular and/or the fibrous substrate with the binding agent into a mold, and subjecting the treated granular and/or fibrous substrate to a thermal treatment step at >= 100[deg] C; and (2) a molded body obtainable by the above mentioned method. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The aqueous binding agent is useful for granular and/or fibrous substrates. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The aqueous binding agent improves the mechanical and/or the optical properties, preferably wet tensile strength and/or the yellowing of the fibrous and/or granular substrates. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Method: The polymerizate is dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous medium. The polymerizate is formed in the polymerized form of at least one monomer A1 (70-100 wt.%), and at least one monomer A2 (0-30 wt.%). The polymerizate is formed in the polymerized form of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid, maleic anhydride and/or itaconic acid (85-100 wt.%), and methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and/or styrene (0-15 wt.%). The binding agent includes glycerine, trimethylolpropane, and polyvinyl alcohol as polyol-B. The nitrogen base has a solubility of >= 0.5 g in 100 g of deionized water at 20[deg] C, and a boiling point of >= 40[deg] C under 1 atm (absolute pressure). The nitrogen base includes n-propylamine, n-butylamine, n-hexylamine, diethylamine, di-n-propylamine, di-n-butylamine, triethylamine, tri-n-propylamine, imidazole and 1-methylimidazole. The equivalent ratio of the carboxyl groups of the polymerizate-A to the hydroxyl groups of the polyol is 20:1-1:1. The amount of nitrogen base is 0.1-20 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the polymerizate. The amount of phosphorus is less than 1 wt.%, based on the sum of the amounts of polymer-A and polyol. The method includes applying the aqueous binding agent (0.1-100 g) onto the granular and/or fibrous substrate (per 100 g) (calculated as the sum of the total amounts of polymerizate, polyol and nitrogen base, based on solids). The method includes drying of the granular and/or fibrous substrate, prior to the thermal treatment step. #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Polyol B (glycerin) (141 g) was added with stirring into a beaker containing the (polymerizate-A) aqueous solution of the acrylic acid/maleic acid copolymer (47 wt.%) at 20-25[deg] C, then 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane ( Silquest A-1100(RTM: Silane) (3.5 g) and the nitrogen base-C (triethylamine) (30.6) were added and homogeneously mixed by stirring for 10 minutes. Subsequently, the respective solutions were prepared by adding deionized water diluted by 5 wt.% of solid contents to obtain the aqueous binding agent.</p>
