PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a form of a radiation measuring device such as a survey meter easy to grasp.SOLUTION: A battery box 16 is provided below a main body 12 so as to protrude downward. Four primary cells are contained in the battery box 16 in an inclined profile. A stepped structure 104 is formed between a front surface 16A of the battery box 16 and a lower surface 12A of the main body 12. A survey meter 10 can be held in a hand 57 while letting a forefinger 58, for example, caught in the stepped structure 104. The battery box 16 can be detached while a plate-like secondary battery can be arranged in a storage space 36.
