PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate failure of a current sensor detecting a value of a current flowing from a step-up circuit (reactor) to an inverter and to discriminate failure of a switching element of the inverter in an off-state.SOLUTION: A power storage system includes: a step-up circuit stepping up an output voltage of a power storage device and outputting power after stepping up; a first current sensor detecting a current value of the power storage device; a second current sensor detecting a current value flowing from a reactor included in the step-up circuit to the inverter during the stepping up by the step-up circuit; a temperature sensor detecting a temperature of the power storage device; and a fan supplying cooling air to the power storage device. A controller determines failure of the second current sensor or failure of a switching element of the inverter on the basis of the temperature of the power storage device, the square value of the current value of the power storage device, the air flow of the fan, and the rising speed of the temperature of the power storage device. When the failure is discriminated, the number of times in which the voltage value after stepping up reaches an upper-limit voltage value and a lower-limit voltage value can be considered. |
