<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control unit which refers, when an interruption signal is generated in main control means, to interruption factor information corresponding to the interruption signal, without waiting for a second storage section to be updated, and an image forming apparatus comprising the communication control unit.SOLUTION: A communication control unit comprises: subordinate control means which comprises a first storage section for storing information including interruption factor information when interruption is generated, which reads the information stored in the first storage section with an update period and transmits the information, and which transmits interruption information indicating the generation of interruption; main control means which is serially connected to the subordinate control means, which comprises a central processing unit, a second storage section, and a signal generation section for generating an interruption signal when having acquired the interruption information from the subordinate control means, and which updates the second storage section by writing the information transmitted from the subordinate control means with the update period in the second storage section; and reading means for, when the interruption signal is generated in the signal generation section, directly reading from the first storage section the interruption factor information corresponding to the generated interruption signal before the interruption information associated with the generated interruption signal is written in the second storage section.</p> |
