<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device configured to prevent a false input to be caused when a cable comes close to or in contact with a touch panel.SOLUTION: A touch panel device includes an approach/contact sensor (sensor) 4 which is arranged in at least a part of a periphery of a detection surface of a touch panel 3 for detecting a position where a conductor comes close to or in contact with the touch panel. When a cable 7 comes close to or in contact with the touch panel 3, the cable comes close to or in contact with the approach/contact sensor 4 as well, and does not move. When the approach or contact position of the conductor is detected by both touch panel 3 and approach/contact sensor 4, and the position thereof does not change for a predetermined time, the touch panel device does not perform processing corresponding to the position detected by the touch panel 3. The touch panel device prevents a false input to be caused when the cable 7 comes close to or in contact with the touch panel 3.</p> |
