<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an automatic transmission, which can prevent the stall or stop of a vehicle in the case where a returning operation to neutral is executed because of an incomplete gear omission to continue a power transmission and which avoids the gear engagement during the power transmission thereby to prevent the breakage or the gear non-engagement state of a synchro-mechanism due to an unexpected load.SOLUTION: If a determination time T elapses (YES at S2) after both cylinders stop operations after the end of a shifting operation, a gear omission stroke determination value Gst-out2 set on the side closer to the gear omission is selected in place of a gear omission stroke determination value Gst-out1 on the gear engagement side (S8). If any cylinder is then caused to start the operation by a subsequent shifting operation (Yes at S6), a return is made to the gear omission stroke determination value Gst-out1 (S4). The gear omission stroke determination value Gst-out2 is applied while the gear stage is being achieved, so that a repeated gear engagement is prevented in the case where an incomplete gear omission occurs.</p> |
