<p>The present invention relates to an aqueous glass fiber sizing composition for an optical cable which contains a water dispersible polyurethane resin and a polyacrylate emulsion resin, and glass fibers for an optical cable coated therewith. The present invention provides: the aqueous sizing composition capable of producing the glass fibers for the optical cable with excellent mechanical properties including tensile strength, flexural rigidity, and impact strength, improved durability, absorption resistance, and degree of focusing by mixing additives including a lubricant, a thickener, a preservative, and an anti-foaming agent to the water dispersible polyurethane resin and the polyacrylate emulsion resin before coating the glass fibers for an optical cable; and the glass fibers for an optical cable coated therewith.</p> |
