PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by a user by allowing the user to learn a method for setting superimposition information on a captured image.SOLUTION: A monitoring camera 1000 capable of communicating with a client device 2000 via an IP network 1500 comprises: an imaging unit 1002 for imaging a subject; a compression encoding unit 1004 for superposing superposition information on a captured image imaged by the imaging unit 1002; and a communication unit 1005 for transmitting transmittance information indicating whether a transmittance can be set or not for each of part of the superposition information superposed by the compression encoding unit 1004 and another part to the client device 2000 via the IP network 1500.
