<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine an original image with an appropriate composition area to generate an appropriate composite image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a first acquisition unit for acquiring a plurality of original images and a template image including a plurality of composition areas; a second acquisition unit for acquiring area information on at least one composition area; a calculation unit for calculating a feature value indicating features of the original images; a deciding unit which decides an original image to be combined with each of the composition areas, from among the original images, by use of the feature value of the original image and the area information; and a composition unit which combines the decided original image with each of the composition areas in the template image, to generate a composite image.</p> |
