<p>Provided is a liquid crystal medium having an acceptably high clearing point, high birefringence, proper dielectric anisotropy, and UV stability. The present invention relates to a liquid crystal medium comprising at least one compound represented by chemical formula I, at least one compound represented by chemical formula II and at least one compound represented by chemical formula III; and to a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal medium. In chemical formula I, II and III, variables have their respective definitions shown in the claims or specification. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the liquid crystal medium, especially use in an electro-optical shutter lens; to an electro-optical shutter including the medium according to the present invention; and to the manufacture of the lens and a use method thereof. The electro-optical shutter is especially suitable for a 3D device, and the 3D device is also a part of the present invention.</p> |
