PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralizing apparatus capable of easily controlling the neutralization of an acidic drain and a latent heat recovery-style heat source machine including the same.SOLUTION: The provided neutralizing apparatus 1 includes a drain storage tank 11, a duct member 12, a neutralizing tank 13, and a neutralizer 15. The drain storage tank 11 can store a drain D. The duct member 12 includes an intake port 12a and a discharge port 12b and constitutes a siphon by extending upward from the intake port 12a opened in the interior of the drain storage tank 11, then extending downward, and reaching the discharge port 12b. The neutralizing tank 13 possesses a bottom plane unit 13a positioned underneath the discharge port 12b and possessing a through-hole 13b. An alkaline neutralizer 15 is filled within the neutralizing tank 13. The neutralizing apparatus 1 prompts the drain D having been discharged from the discharge port 12b to stream downward along at least a portion of the surface of the neutralizer 15 and then stream downward underneath the bottom plane unit 13a past the through-hole 13b of the bottom plane unit 13a. |
