PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular electric brake apparatus capable of reducing braking torque reliably in a case where power is not appropriately supplied to a motor from a vehicle body, and capable of saving energy and securing initial responsiveness of braking in a case where the power is appropriately supplied.SOLUTION: An electric brake apparatus, for use in generating braking torque in a wheel by pressing a friction member onto a rotary member fixed to the wheel by using drive torque of a motor MTR, includes: a vehicular body power source BBD for use in supplying power to the motor that is fixed to a vehicle body; and an emergency power source BEM for use in supplying power to the motor that is fixed to the wheel. Normally, the motor is driven by using the vehicular body power source. Only in a case where determined to be in an inappropriate state (FLdg=1), with pressing force of the friction member occurring, the motor is driven by using the emergency power source instead of the vehicular body power source so as to reduce the pressing force. |
