PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of detecting an abnormal connection state of a communication cable thereby to prevent the so-called "communication fraudulent" effectively.SOLUTION: A game machine comprises a connection confirmation line 910 connected together with an optical fiber cable 900. The connection confirmation line 910 is made conductive when an electric voltage is applied thereto from an optical connector 730. On condition that the connection confirmation line 910 is connected with optical connectors 630 and 730 so as to be in a conductive state, a dedicated controller of a main board communication LSI 610 decides that the main board communication LSI 610 is in a communicatable state, and on condition that the connection confirmation line 910 is not normally connected with the optical connectors 630 and 730, decides that the main board communication LSI 610 is in an uncommunicatable state. In the case where an uncommunicatable state is decided by the dedicated controller, the main board communication LSI 610 stops the feed of a signal to the optical connector 630. |
