PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional and three-dimensional display apparatus which reduces gazing steadily at an object near a three-dimensional image camera and reduces a time to recognize information to be viewed.SOLUTION: On the basis of image information from a camera 3 and light axis information from the camera 3, a 2D/3D image plotting unit 21 generates a two-dimensional image of an object existing within a predetermined distance from the camera 3, and generates a three-dimensional image of an object existing at a distance longer than the predetermined distance from the camera 3. A 2D/3D display unit 1 displays the object existing within the predetermined distance from the camera 3 as the two-dimensional image and displays the object at a distance longer than the predetermined distance from the camera 3 as the three-dimensional image.
