<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide an image forming condition accurately even if a luminance value of a pattern for calibration is saturated with respect to the amount of toner applied.SOLUTION: Linear interpolation is executed on an area where a luminance value (density value) of a pattern linearly changes with respect to an image forming condition for deciding the amount of toner applied, to decide an image forming condition which can achieve a target luminance value. The linear interpolation is executed excluding an area where the luminance value does not increase monotonously with respect to the image forming condition. The image forming condition can be decided accurately even if the luminance value with respect to the amount of toner applied is saturated.</p> |
