<p>Disclosed are an extended Manchester code of a PAM-n (n is an integer of 3 or greater) scheme, an encoding apparatus using the extended Manchester code, and a clock and data recovery method and apparatus for quickly and accurately recovering a clock and data from a received signal by receiving the signal encoded by the extended Manchester code. The clock and data recovery method recovers the clock and the data from the encoded signal received by using the extended Manchester code, which displays a plurality of symbol values according to a pulse amplitude. The method includes: a sampling step of sequentially obtaining a first sampling value, a second sampling value and a third sampling value by sampling the received signal using a preset sampling clock, in a symbol period of the received signal; and determining a symbol value of the sampled symbol according to a difference between the second sampling value and the third sampling value, wherein the first sample value is obtained in a preceding half of the symbol period and the second sampling value and the third sampling value are obtained in the following half of the symbol period.</p> |
