PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-up/down switching regulator which does not require an additional circuit exclusively used for shorting between input and output.SOLUTION: When being set to a step-up/down switching mode on the basis of a mode selection signal, a step-up/down control unit generates a control signal for turning a step-up/down output unit on or off by executing step-up or step-down control so that an output voltage becomes a set voltage, the step-up/down output unit operating on the basis of the control signal. When being set to a bypass mode on the basis of the mode selection signal, the step-up/down control unit forcibly turns a step-down switch and a step-up rectifier switch on, and generates a control signal for causing a step-down rectifier switch and a step-up switch, both connected to a ground terminal, to be forcibly turned off, thereby causing an input voltage to be bypass-outputted from an input terminal to an output terminal via a step-down switching element, an inductor, and a step-up rectifier element. |
