PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method and a resistance welder which can perform welding from one direction with one-side electrode even when a steel plate has a protective sheet or one side coating thereon, shortens a welding time and further can reduce power consumption, related to a welding construction method for performing resistance welding of welding stud to the steel plate.SOLUTION: Power feeding is performed with movable one-side electrode from an upper end surface of a welding stud, a lower electrode is made unnecessary, and a lower end surface of the stud of a contact surface to be welded with a steel plate is formed with a flat surface. A welding method and a resistance welder include a welding transformer capable of following a control method in which control is performed such that welding current gets to the maximum value within 15 msec (milli second) and the welding is completed in a current supply time of 50 msec or less from the start of current supply. |
