<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost image forming apparatus configured to improve accuracy of reading an image on a sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image reading means, such as a light source 11 or a reading optical system 12, arranged to have an image reading position in a position adjacent from upstream in a sheet conveyance direction of a registration roller pair 7; second sheet discharge means, such as a sheet-discharging opening 1a or a roller 17, for discharging a sheet passing through a registration roller pair 6 to the outside, on a conveyance path from the registration roller pair 6 to image forming means; and conveyance path switching means, such as a paper-discharge guide unit 16, arranged downstream in the sheet conveyance direction of the registration roller pair 6, so as to select a conveyance path of the sheet passing through the registration roller pair 6, between a conveyance path leading to the second sheet discharge means and a conveyance path leading to the image forming means.</p> |
