摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method for estimating the remaining capacity of a battery, a method for estimating the lifetime of the battery, and a battery managing system using the same are provided to more accurately estimate and manage the lifetime of the battery by estimating SOC(State Of Charging) and SOH(State Of Health) having more improved reliability and accuracy through reducing errors generated while measuring the current value of the battery by reflecting current amount used for driving an actual motor. CONSTITUTION: A sensing part measures the current of a battery and delivers to an SOC estimating part for measuring current(S10). The amount of the used current of a motor is received from an MCU(Motor Control Unit) through an additional communication line between a BMS(Battery Management System) and the MCU. Whether the amount of the used current of the motor is in an active current range is determined(S30). The estimated remaining capacity of a battery is estimated using the amount of the used current the motor when the amount of the used current of the motor is in the active current range(S40). The estimated remaining capacity of a battery is estimated by a current estimating method using a current value of the battery when the amount of the used current of the motor is not in the active current range(S50). Whether to estimate the estimated remaining capacity again or to estimate a SOH is determined by comparing with a predetermined allowable error based on the difference of the remaining capacity of the battery and the estimated remaining capacity drawn at the stage40 and stage50.
