Disclosed is an image processing apparatus and a method thereof, capable of providing a 2D image, an auto-stereoscopic 3D image, and a stereoscopic 3D image through a single display unit. The image processing apparatus according to an embodiment disclosed in the present disclosure comprises a control unit aligning first liquid crystal such that refractive indices of each lens of a lens layer of a display unit and a lens body are equal, when a first 3D image mode is selected, and non-aligning the first liquid crystal such that refractive indices of each lens of the lens layer of the display unit and the lens body are different, when a second 3D image mode is selected. |
