PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound reproduction device and a sound reproduction method which allow for suppression of chattering phenomenon while minimizing degradation of sound quality.SOLUTION: A sound reproduction device includes a speaker 20 outputting a sound by using a first sound signal, and a signal control section 12 for suppressing the level when outputting a sound of a first frequency band, determined from the specific vibration frequency of a housing 30 to which the speaker 20 is attached, out of the frequency components included in a second input sound signal, below a first level, and generating the first sound signal by further suppressing the level when outputting a sound of a first frequency band, adjacent to the first frequency band, below a second level.
