<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can stably maintain the width and shape of a nip part, and an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a rotatable, endless fixing belt 11, a contact member 21 that contacts the outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt, a nip forming member 31 that is arranged on the inner peripheral side of the fixing belt and contacts the contact member with the fixing belt therebetween to form a nip part, a support member 51 that is arranged on the inner peripheral side of the fixing belt to support the nip forming member, and heating means 41 for heating the fixing belt, where the support member includes at least a parallel part 51a parallel to a sheet conveyance direction at the nip part, and a rising part 51b rising from the parallel part to the contact member side, and supports the nip forming member with the parallel part and rising part.</p> |
