<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal for increasing a transmissible information quantity while maintaining a high-speed property of processing in a system for transferring information relating to a place to the portable terminal via a sonic signal.SOLUTION: A sonic signal output device comprises means for outputting a sonic signal formed from one or more sinusoidal waves of different frequencies. For the sonic signal, a predetermined number of frequencies included in a frequency domain utilizing an upper limit range of audible frequencies correspond to a predetermined number of bits, and a value of each of bits is represented by the presence/absence of output of a sinusoidal wave in a corresponding frequency. Information that should be transferred using the sonic signal is information which can be associated with a place where the sonic wave output device is installed. The information is divided into a plurality of sub information items, and each of the sub information items is represented by at least a part of the predetermined number of bits of the sonic signal. The sonic signal output device includes means for switching a sonic signal to be outputted at a predetermined time interval and outputs the sonic signals representing the sub information items while circulating them in accordance with the order of forming the information.</p> |
