PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transcoding device constituted of one decoder, when transcoding both or any one of video information and audio information of the same coding system simultaneously by a plurality of coding systems.SOLUTION: A transcoding device includes one AVC-Intra decoder 12 for decoding information of a coding system of transcoding source, e.g., AVC-Intra system, and two encoders, e.g., an MPEG-2 encoder 14 and an H.264 encoder 24, as a plurality of encoders for converting into information of a coding system of transcoding destination. By inputting video information 13 decoded by the AVC-Intra decoder 12 while branching to the two encoders of MPEG-2 encoder 14 and H.264 encoder 24, video information 11 encoded by the AVC-Intra system is output while being converted into video information 15 encoded by the MPEG-2 system and video information 25 encoded by the H.264 system.
