<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a stranded wire which allow for production of a high quality stranded wire having a uniform outside diameter.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing a stranded wire Y by rotating a flyer 4 thereby stranding a plurality of filaments S along the flyer 4. The method comprises: measuring the outside diameter of the stranded wire Y using an outside diameter sensor 80 provided in a rotary limit of the flyer 4; causing a radio slave unit 20 provided in the rotary limit of the flyer 4 to accumulate the measured outside diameter value of the stranded wire Y which is measured by the outside diameter sensor 80; and in response to a request from a radio master unit 30 provided outside the rotary limit of the flyer 4, causing the radio slave unit 20 to transmit the measured outside diameter value accumulated in the radio slave unit 20, to the radio master unit 30 from the radio slave unit 20.</p> |
