PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of surely preventing the closure of an air vent due to a foreign matter and the occurrence of an air lock phenomenon.SOLUTION: A pump comprises a pump casing 24 having a pump chamber 30 formed therein, and an impeller 27 arranged in the pump chamber 30. The pump casing 24 is formed with an air vent 41 for providing communication between the inside and the outside of the pump chamber 30. The air vent 41 is shaped to have a diameter increased gradually with the distance from the inner opening end 41a of the air vent 41 along the center line CL thereof. |
