PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium that can give an image having high glossiness and excellent color mixing prevention property and water resistance when the medium is printed with an aqueous ink containing a pigment, and to provide an inkjet recording method using the recording medium, and a pretreatment liquid for inkjet recording.SOLUTION: [1] The inkjet recording medium is prepared by imparting a treatment liquid to raw paper. The raw paper shows a water absorption amount of 0 to 10 g/mwhen the raw paper is in contact with pure water for a contact time of 100 msec; and the treatment liquid is an aqueous solution comprising colloidal silica and a polyacrylic acid or polyethylene glycol having a weight average molecular weight of 80,000 or more. [2] The inkjet recording method comprises forming an image by an inkjet recording system using an aqueous ink containing a pigment on the above recording medium. [3] The pretreatment liquid for inkjet recording comprises colloidal silica and a polyacrylic acid or polyethylene glycol having a weight molecular weight of 80,000 or more. |
