<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the allowable range of the tilt of an excessive temperature-rise protection element with respect to a heating member, and improve the productivity.SOLUTION: An image heating device comprises: a heating member 2 having a substrate 2a and a heating resistor 2b formed in the longitudinal direction of the substrate; and an excessive temperature-rise protection element 6 which suppresses the excessive temperature rise of the heating member by blocking the electrification to the heating resistor. The image heating device which heats an image T on a recording material P with heat from the heating member comprises a heat conduction member 10 which is between the heating member and the excessive temperature-rise protection element, and is formed of a material whose heat conductivity is higher than that of the substrate. The heat conduction member includes a contact surface part 10a for contacting with the heating member in the longitudinal direction of the substrate, at least one bent shape part 10b and/or 10c, and at least one contact point CP1 and/or CP2 between the at least one bent shape part and the excessive temperature-rise protection element.</p> |
