The device has a capacitor (C) and a diode (D) constituting a voltage doubler and placed in series in secondary circuit of a main step-up transformer (1), where power variation depends on capacitor value. A magnetron (7) is connected between terminals (A, B) of the circuit. Power (P d) delivered by the transformer to the magnetron is equal to one-fourth of product of horsepower rating (P n) and reflection coefficient of the magnetron.
