Compounds of the formula where R 1 and R 2 are a direct covalent linkage or an arylene radical and X 1 , X 2 and X 3 are H, Cl, Br, NO 2 , sulphonamide or alkyl or alkoxy of 1-3 carbon atoms provided that X 1 and X 2 represent hydrogen atoms, where R 1 and R 2 are direct linkages, are converted into a pigment form by adding an aqueous emulsion of a carrier of vegetable, animal or synthetic origin at 60- 100‹ C. to an aqueous suspension of a dyestuff of the above formula, obtained by adding a mineral acid to an aqueous alkaline solution of the dyestuff, and stirring the mixture obtained at the same temperature and separating and drying the pigment. |
