Disclosed herein is a pharmaceutical formulation in the form of an inhalable dry powder, comprising micronized particles of a compound of general formula (I) as (-) enantiomer, wherein the variables are as defined in the specification; and coarse carrier particles made of a physiologically acceptable pharmacologically-inert material having a mass diameter of 150 to 400 micron with a fissure index of at least 1.25; wherein said compound is administered at a therapeutically effective single dose comprised between 300 micrograms and 1000 micrograms; and wherein the preferred compound of formula (I) is (-)-3-Cyclopropylmethoxy-4-methanesulfonylamino-benzoic acid 1-(3-cyclopropylmethoxy-4-difluoromethoxy-phenyl)-2-(3,5-dichloro-1-oxy-pyridin-4-yl)-ethyl ester. The formulations of the invention are intended for use in the prevention and/or treatment of a respiratory disease such as asthma or COPD.
