<p>A device incorporating thermo-electric elements linked to an ice tray mould to produce pref. 25 kilogrammes of ice per day. Water is fed to the mould, which is constantly agitated to produce translucent cubes, to a predetermined level controlled by a sensing device operating on the water supply. The cooling cycle is reversed after freezing to melt the external surface of the cube to facilitate removal of the cube from the mould. The device is automated and lends itself to hospital and catering applications.</p> |
