Apparatus and process of purification of proteins

Disclosed is an apparatus for purifying a protein from a sample containing the protein to be purified, comprising: a. a capture chromatography resin; b. a depth filter arranged with respect to the capture chromatography resin so that the sample processes through the capture chromatography resin to and through the depth filter; and c. a mixed-mode chromatography resin arranged with respect to the depth filter so that the sample processes through the depth filter to and through the mixed-mode chromatography resin.
