A media interaction system for audio stream metadata integration and interaction with a communications device, an interface for receiving live or delayed audio from a plurality of user devices, and a storage subsystem coupled to the communications device and configured to buffer at least a configurable amount of live audio received from a user device via the interface. Upon receipt of a request from a user, the buffer is screened for metadata comprising contact information and, where contact information is located, an interaction between the user and another party is initiated using the communications device and the contact information.

1. A media interaction system for audio stream metadata integration and interaction, the system comprising:
a communications device comprising program code stored in a memory and adapted to facilitate user communication with similar devices via a data communication network; a software interface comprising program code stored in a memory and adapted to receive live or delayed audio from a plurality of user devices; and a data storage subsystem coupled to the communications device and adapted to buffer at least a configurable amount of live audio received from a user device via the interface; wherein upon receipt of a spoken request from a user, the buffer is screened for metadata comprising contact information and, where contact information is located, an interaction between the user and another party is initiated using the communications device and the contact information.
