<p>Life-saving garments is composed of two layers of suitably shaped and assembled fabric, between which are enclosed close bags filled with a multiplicity of small balls of cellular plastic material with closed cells, spec. cellular polystyrene in balls of 1-5 mm diam. The life-saving garment has excellent floating characteristics, as each of the plastic balls forms an individual float. Even if the floating propertis of some of the balls is destroyed, the security of the garment is not fully impaired, because of the large number of balls present in the garment. The garment does not restrict the movements of the wearer.</p> |
