<p>Leaks in water containers are detected by injecting a radioactive emulsion in the water, sothat the emulsion particles migrate towards and accumulate in the region of the leak and produce a region of increased radioactivity which is traced by a cetector. The emulsion is pref. bitumen (e.g. trioleine, triphenyl stibine) tagged with a radioactive material (e.g. Sb 124 or I 131.</p> |
