摘要 Provided are a mining vehicle such that even when a ground wall formed on a road shoulder is not detected, it is possible to reliably determine whether it is possible to travel, and a mining vehicle management system whereby, when a notification is received from one mining vehicle to the effect that it is not possible to properly detect the ground wall, the said information is transmitted to other mining vehicles. A mining vehicle (dump truck (10)) comprises an external environment recognition device (20). The external environment recognition device (20) further comprises: a stereo camera device (210); a road shoulder recognition unit (222) which recognizes the presence of a ground wall which is formed along a road shoulder, using information from the stereo camera device (210); a locator (250) which measures the present location and orientation of the vehicle; map data (240) which has information relating to the ground wall; and a road shoulder determination unit (230) which, when a result of the recognition of the road shoulder recognition unit (222) in a location denoted by the locator (240) and a location on the map data (240) whereat the ground wall is formed differ, outputs a required mismatch signal to a vehicle control unit (270) and an external communication device (280).
