A working method of a mobile station terminal in a pseudo shutdown mode, and the mobile station terminal. Implementation of the method comprises: a mobile station terminal receiving an operation command input by a user; after it is determined that the operation instruction is a preset pseudo shutdown mode, the mobile station terminal entering the pseudo shutdown mode, and sending a first message to a dispatcher to notify that the mobile station terminal enters the pseudo shutdown mode; and the mobile station terminal starting a voice transmission function in the pseudo shutdown mode, and sending voice received currently by the mobile station terminal to the dispatcher. A pseudo shutdown mode is enabled under the triggering of a user, the condition of entering the pseudo shutdown mode and voice of an environment where the mobile station terminal is located in is notified to the dispatcher in a case in which the pseudo shutdown mode is enabled. The dispatcher can timely find that the mobile station terminal may enter a dangerous condition, thereby proving facilities for the timely dispatch of the dispatcher, and improving the security of the mobile station terminal.
