The present invention relates to a method for characterising the physiological quality of a medium for culturing living organisms, the medium being, for example, a medium used in aquaculture. The method includes periodically acquiring, in the development area of said living organisms, physical and chemical parameters such as pH, temperature, salinity or conductivity and oxidation reduction potential, and calculating three variables consisting of: the pH; a second variable V2, which is dependent on the pH, the temperature and the oxidation reduction potential; and a third variable V3, which is dependent on the oxidation reduction potential, the temperature and the salinity, in order to determine a triplet (pH, V2, V3) which is characteristic of the physiological quality of said medium. A three-dimensional field of characteristic triplets can be established, corresponding to the physiological comfort area of said living organisms.
|
