The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a virtual machine (VM) communication method and device, capable of reducing the number of broadcast packets in a virtual network. The method comprises: a virtual switch searches a stored address list for the MAC address of a destination VM according to the IP address of the destination VM; and if the MAC address of the destination VM is found, then obtaining the MAC address of the destination VM. The present invention is used for communication between VMs. |
