PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent registered character strings from being rewritten into ones of another language.SOLUTION: A system controller 50 reads from a nonvolatile memory 56 a personal name registered in association with the person's face in individual authentication, and displays the name on a display unit 28. In response to an instruction to edit the name, the system controller 50 displays on the display unit 28 a keyboard frame for character inputting in a set language. If the language of the registered name is found to be the same as the set language, the system controller 50 displays the registered name in an input column of the keyboard frame or, if not the same language, leaves the column blank. If the language of the registered name is found to be the same as the set language, the system controller 50 gives a warning to a user before updating the registered name with the character string inputted to the input column, and executes the updating with the permission of the user. |
