Provided are a color filter layer, a color film substrate comprising the color filter layer, and a display device comprising the color film substrate. The color filter layer comprises a filter film (2) and a light conversion material layer (3) provided at an incident side of the filter film (2). The light conversion material layer converts light with other frequencies in incident light into light having the same spectral properties as the filter films, thereby enhancing light utilization and display brightness, and further effectively saving energy resources and improving a display effect.
