<p>Chrome-manganese-nickel alloys, inexpensive quality, with low nitrogen content which have not only a good forming characteristic, high tensile strength and good resistance to corrosion but also have good hot machining properties which reduces forming problems as well as cost. Typical high ductility (over 50% elongation) on a 50.8 mm sample: C 0.11 - 0.20% N 0.015 - 0.08% Cr 14.00 - 19.00% Mn 5.50 - 8.00% Ni 4.50 - 6.00% P 0.04% max. S 0.04% max. Si 1.00% max. Mo up to 0.50% balance Fe and accidental impurities and other elements in quantities such that they do not adversely affect the alloy properties.</p> |
