The present invention provides a technique for suppressing the background value of a detection signal in order to build an immunoassay system for detecting a modified nucleic acid base. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for measuring a modified nucleic acid base comprising incubating a nucleic acid sample and a heterogenous nucleic acid probe (e.g., RNA probe) in a solution, and measuring a modified nucleic acid base using an antibody to the modified nucleic acid base in the solution thus obtained. The present invention also provides a kit for measuring the modified nucleic acid base, the kit comprising a heterogeneous nucleic acid probe, and an antibody to the modified nucleic acid base. |
